Children’s and Youth Activities
If your child had fun at HBW, there are loads of similar groups and activities across the area. These range from different ages and there is something for everyone. Whether it's a Sunday club or a mid-week meet-up, Bishops Stortford and the surrounding area is brimming with fantastic groups for children and youth.
All Saints, Hockerill
Lego Church in All Saints hall, Stansted Road. 4pm-5:30pm on the second Sunday in the month, starting in September. Aimed at children aged 4-11, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Bishop’s Stortford Baptist Church
Sunday Club Groups meet on Sunday mornings during the service:
Kidzone 1 (age 4 – year 1)
Kidzone 2 (Year 2 – year 3)
Xplorers (Year 4 – Year 6)
Youth Group (Fridays 7-9pm) open to teens/preteens in secondary school (roughly ages 11-18). Fridays consist of activities, fun, and fellowship, followed by worship and the preaching of the Word.
Bishop’s Stortford Christian Assembly
Sunday School for primary school children meet during the service (10:30am – 12 noon) at the Herts and Essex High school from August 17th
Youth Groups meet on Friday evenings from 7:00pm. School years 7-11 meet at the Hockerill Christian Centre; years 12-13 and above meet in someone’s home.

St James the Great, Thorley

St James Youth Group For: 11-18 Year Olds (Years 7-13). Youth Sessions: Gather for friendship, fun, games, food, exploring the Christian faith and social events. Meet fortnightly on Sundays 7-8.30pm at The Emmaus Centre @ St. James, Thorley.

St Michael’s, Windhill
Godly Play for families and their children of all ages. A half hour session of worship and activities during the service, in our Lady Chapel in church. 10:00am every Sunday.
Youth Worship for older teens. Discussion, activities and Bible Study during the service. 10:00am every second Sunday.
Junior Choir: Young people rehearse in Church following pizza and games in the Windhill Churches Centre. All welcome to try it out. Every Friday, 6:30-8:00pm.

Messy Church is an afternoon of games, crafts, stories and songs using stories from the bible to teach universal truths. Aimed at pre-school and Primary aged children and their families. REV is a youth group for anyone aged from year 6 - year 13. We meet upstairs during the church service to talk about life, culture and God and to make deeper friendships.
